Idle RPM Question
My 1992 Camaro RS 305 TBI engine idles at about 1000 RPM when cold. When I switch on the A/C with the motor cold the idle rpm drops to about 850 RPM. This is on the factory tach. Laptop hooked to the computer shows idle of 1125 when cold a/c off. Did not check with a/c on. Any idea what is going on here?

Normal operation. A/C drains power, so idle decreases. At warmed up op temps, idle should be about 600rpm.
