Where can I find replacement vacuum hose? The only thing they seem to sell at autozone or the other local stores is the silicone tubing. Will this work as well as the original plastic hose? The previous owner replaced most of the hose with black rubber tubing and im hoping this might be the problem causing my poor idle / problems with the fpr.

As long as its getting the air it needs and its not leeking.......why worry. Its really hard to come accross any of the OE plastic vac lines. Better luck at a salvage yard my friend, parts stores aint gona have em.

Ive put my thumb over all the lines, they all have some vacuum. I guess my main question now is that I know the hoses on there are slightly larger diameter than than the originals. Will this prevent the right amount of pressure from being delivered to the fpr?

if you are talking about the small head plastic lines they have them at parts stores, but i hate that crap, i replaced all of mine with rubber lines

Bigger hose wont hurt man.......Apparently they do sell at auto stores......last time I checked, it was discontinued......

advance auto parts has it, its not behind the counter, its normaly near oil drain plugs and all and with the vacuum "T's" and what not

They buy NOS items from dealers. They might have them.

I would go with the flexible vac lines anyways. I think that those brittle lines are set up with adaptors anyways so there's no real reason why I wouldn't swap out for the 'new hotness' haha.

I bought all new vacuum line at one parts store and ended up with multiple small leaks which gave me a headache trying to get my new set up run/idle and such. Checked a few other stores and found something that worked. It probably depends on where the different stores get their line from, but bring in a fitting and make sure they fit securely. Don't let anyone tell you that it's "good enough" when it isn't.

The hoses all have their own specific sizes. When I swapped out all my vac lines, there were zero leaks. That's just me though.

Larger diameter tubing will have a "lag" effect. The bigger area will take longer to draw the area down. I don't see how this would affect anything but you asked.

Lol, I wish it were that easy. Both of the hoses I bought were labeled the same size. I thought that they fit too loose so I brought a piece back to the store and was told that they're fine "that's the way they come, they're all manufactured from the same place and there's no difference between them". I went to a couple of other places and compared the hoses and also the fitting and found out that it's not actually the case.

I get those counter guys sometimes. And to think they get offended when i ask to talk to someone else when i know better then they do.
