Gauge swap questions?

I couldn't find my answer when searching so I'm posting here. My car is a 1985 base Firebird that came with a V6 that's been swapped to an '87 LG4 305 by a previous owner. I've got the gauge cluster with no tach and the dummy lights currently.

I just bought a new gauge 120 mph cluster with tach, oil pressure, temp, etc. that was from a '92 Firebird and want to install it. Before I tear apart my dash I need to know if it's goig to work of what I need to do? I've put pics of the new gauge cluster below.

Re: Gauge swap questions?

Im pretty sure it wont work if for no other reason than the speedometer 92 was an electronic speedometer sender where as the 87 lg4 set up would have been a mechanical sender if im not mistaken.

Re: Gauge swap questions?

So would I just need to find an older Trans Am dash with a mechanical speedometer?
