I took my car to get an alignment and rear break service done... Now my break lights don't work. What happened? Thanks for the help.

Break job & an alignment, have nothing to do with the functionality of the brake lights.

Could just be a coincidence. Have you checked your fuses? Checked the bulbs themselves?

check by your brake pedal switch. the switch that doesnt have a vacuum hose to it, press it manually. i had a room mate that paid a shop to fix it. all they did was charge 50 bucks and used a ziptie that eventually left the lights on, all the time. of coarse i fixed it. i just used another ziptie. haha it was a blazer, he was broke.

Where is the break pedal switch located? I'll check the fuse also, thanks.

The arm that holds the pedal, is what pushes on the switch, so look behind the arm, under the dash.

The dangling white thing is the brake switch. I presume it's likely the same for yours. It will be in a bracket in front of the brake pedal. When apply the brake in it will release the switch. Pretty simple. Just make sure the switch is working properly.

Re: Tail lights work but break lights dont

I replaced the fuse and it worked the first time, but then the fuse blew. It did it with 2 other fuses too. What could be causing this? Thanks for the help, guys.
