Re: bolt on power adders????

congrats on the purchase! i'm sure you will enjoy it.

im more into carbs myself but a better exhaust would be a good start for any car, they are all restrictive. A bigger throttle body, maybe some different injectors, a ram air or cold air intake, some better runners, an underdrive kit. then if you want to get into the motor, an lt4 hot cam will work wonders but i think it may require modifiying the heads. don't quote me on any of this, like I said, i usually mess with carbs and haven't really gotten into cams to much yet, do some research!

as always, i would recommend upgrading to a t-56 6 speed transmission and i would probably change the rear end gearing to like 3.73 or 3.42 or something around there. 4.10 or 4.11 if you want to get crazy.

Re: bolt on power adders????

If it were me I would go with the magnaflow cat back, its around $430, but its stainless steel and is 3" so it has good flow. the best bang for the buck IMO. also i would get a high flow magmaflow cat, and hedman 68470 headers. They are pretty nice and they make a y pipe for them that can be modified for 3" after the y so its a very free flowing setup all the way through. it will run you around $6-700 for the whole setup not including shipping or installation which i don't think is that bad for a whole system and you can buy it in peices so that makes it a little easier on the wallet too.
I've heard as much as a 10-13% increase in power just from upgrading the exhaust.

Re: bolt on power adders????

get some 3.23 gears or higher if you don't have them.

Also I'd recommend getting a good performance chip for it.
My Hypertech Chip really does help compared to how it drives with the stock 350 chip.
