possible bad heater core

hey whats up....

i have just replaced my heater core less than a year ago.... now when i turn on the vents every now and then i can smell coolant through the vents.... also i was looking under the passenger side dash and was feeling up there and i had the moist of coolant on my hands... does this mean i have a bad heater core after one year.... i do know that i have a very tiny cut in one of the heater hoses where the engine bay is but the small leaked seemed to went away a few months ago.... could that be the problem... thanks

Re: possible bad heater core

Replace the hoses. If you've got a crack in one there are probably more. Replace both of em and see if your problem gets better, if not it could be the core. I have to replace the heater core on my mom's 78 Camaro every other year. Then again we're using junkyard cores.
