my car stalls while driving

I have a 252 2.8 liter v6 in a 87 Camaro. My car runs on a low and rough idol and sometime dies on me. My computer told me it was my MAP sensor but that didnt fix it. I do not know what is causing this but im getting real tired of it. so please help me. thanks
I have replaced my MAF sensor, spark plugs, ignition wires, and rotor. Also this is the EFI model.

Re: my car stalls while driving

u messed with the timing? wat is the timing? unplug anything? i would start replacing stuff since the stock stuff is inadequate or old and not working right.

things id check... MAF sensor, will cause alot or running issues if not ok... while running tap on it with knuckles kinda hard and see if idle changes etc. i would check with fuel pressure (actually id replace the stocker with and adjustable unit and set it to 43.5psi) speaking of fuel... the fuel pressure regulator will tell u if your having pump issues if u cant hold enough pressure, also on startup ur cold start injector could have died (sucks no replacements) this will cause rough startup in cooler weather. Id check vacume and see how much its pullin at idle, and id check the TPS and IAC.

You basically need to do a complete tuneup and see wats goin on. replace things like spark plugs and wires etc and see if things help... worst case is u got alot of new parts and once its fixed you wont have to mess with it for some time hopefully

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

Ditto the tune-up and fuel pressure suggestions.

(For the record, a 2.8 liter v6 is 173 cubic inches.)
