Marine Roller Cam ID Help Needed - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I got the roller camshaft from a marine 305. I've measured the base circle and lobe height ... I get 1.5 rocker arm ratio lifts of about .426 / .450.

The numbers are FM L 1292 26. Is this cam a marine reverse rotation cam?

i would say that is NOT a reverse rotation cam due to the dist gear angle reverse rotation cams also turn the dist backwards think the easiest way to tell is that gear

so it seems you have the cam we refer to as the ramJet 350 cam as that's it's most famous application. If that's what you have, it's great torque down low, and okay to about 5100 rpm.

That sounds like the "395" which is the Ramjet cam. Its 196/206 @ .050, .431/.451" lift, 109 LSA. It was known as the "Marine" cam and also came in two GMPP Crate engines. The HT383 and the Ramjet. In the Ramjet it comes with 1.6:1 roller rockers on it.
