Diagram of the dash? Dead mice are a pain.

So a couple mice got in my garage, I'm guessing because my dog lives out there, and his food is in the open. But anyway, they decided to go into my AC vent after they ate the poison I set out, and die in there. Needless to say, I really need to get the stinky little thing OUT!

So what I wanted to know is, does anyone have a diagram, or know where all the bolts are to pull the dash out, do I need to take my whole panel for the gauges out?

I had the whole cover of the dash off, and got down to where the AC and heater ducts are, I just can't get the bigger middle duct out without pulling out the whole dash, for some reason.

This was all necessary anyway though, I took at least 5 pounds out of the car by pulling the speakers, which I've been wanting to do for a while, I heard the smell of the dead mice goes away in about 4 days, but I really don't want a skeleton in there. So please someone, give me some clear directions of how to pull the whole dash, without cracking anything, or a diagram of where every bolt is, I thought I had every single one when I pulled the top of the dash off, that covers the speakers and the windshield defroster cutouts.

Re: Diagram of the dash? Dead mice are a pain.

haha thats just hilarious... it crawled up into the AC vents lol haha. that sucks.

ive ripped the dash out a few times mostly for heater core replacments... its a pain, u gotta take the dash pad off. then take out the center dash(shifter part) and the radio part of the dash. then u need to look around for all the bolts that bolt the dash frame down. theres a bunch of them. they will be bigger bolts but when u get them out keep pullin on the dash untill u figure out where all the bolts are and take them out... this will alow u to pull the dash out a few inches to work on it.

not sure where the dead mice is but u cant get to it from the bottom? i figured out a way to rip out the heater core without pulling the dash out... saved me HOURS of on my back pain labor.

post some pics of that lil bugger

I've got that dash cover off already, I think you figured it out for me customblackbird, I've had that whole part that holds the radio out before, when I took the radio it's self out, I never would of guessed that there were more bolts holding the dash together in there.
