Car: 1983 Firebird, 1989 Firebird Engine: 2.8L V-6 2bbl, 305 V-8 4bbl Transmission: 200C Metric, 700R-4 Axle/Gears: Stock | Help!!!! I just cant get it running right. Ok now that I have fixed all of my leaks (or I have done all I can to stop them). I have changed valve covers, transmission pan gasket, trans dipstick o-ring, thermostat and gasket. Now I went out to test drive my car last night, during the test drive my CEL came on I figured ok now whats wrong, then shortly after it my Oil pressure light came on, I had checked all fluids before leaving my house I went less than 1/2 mile down the road. Then my engine shut down (I figured due to low oil pressure). I got it restarted and decided it was best to head back home, mind you since first light came on my car has ran like it was possessed with some kind of shaking demon. Then close to home I see smoke rolling out of my hood, and it smells like oil or grease burning off my headers and my engine shuts down again, I figured I would limp it nice and easy all the way home or at least in front of it. When I pulled back in the driveway, I could see the smoke coming out from both sides and the scoop on my hood. When I opened the hood, there a a large volume of smoke coming from where the spark plugs go into the heads, I figured It might have overheated so I grabbed the upper radiator hose and it was slightly warm and not very solid, so I have no clue whats wrong at all. There is no water in oil at all I checked that first thing. Can anyone help me out I need to get this bird back up she is my DD.
By the way it is:
