What is the valve on air tubes?

I was wondering if the valve on the air tubes for the exhaust manifold is a one way check valve. If i romove the hoses to them will I have an exhaust leak?

Re: What is the valve on air tubes?

I want to buy hooker 2055 with y pipe since it is the only one i can find that is quality with a 3 inch y pipe. The problem is my air pump is shot and the new headers have the tubes. Do i have to seal them shut? im not a good welder either.

The part where the check valve attaches should be the same thread, its just pipe thread. Get a cap at your local hardware store, screw it on. Done deal.
