1.94 in 081's

would it be wourth my time to put 1.94 intake valves in some 081 heads for my 305 TBI? would they be shrouded by the cylinder walls?

also, what size valves are stock in 081's?

Thanks-

Eric

Re: 1.94 in 081's

Stock is 1.84" intake, so the 1.94s are an easy upgrade. But if you don't also have the shop do a 75 degree bowl hog after cutting the seats, you won't find much improvement. And if you're doing that, you may as well get aftermarket stainless 1-piece swirl-polished valves with undercut stems, and have the shop put a 30 degree back cut on each of them.
