Damaged EGR?

Hi all,
I have a 5.7L '92 camaro that when purchased from previous owner had a few vacuum issues. After reading up on this board where all of the vacuum lines should connect to I found out that the PO connected the EGR vacuum line to the cruise control and orb of power, thats not right is it? I reconnected all the vacuum lines the correct way(i think) but would this cause any damage to my egr system that would effect the way my car drives?

Here's how it was setup when I got the car:

PS: should the map connect to the last vac port like that?

Re: Damaged EGR?

It's not going to harm it, but if it was directly connected (not through the solenoid) it would be open all the time and make for a bad idle.
