1st gen sbc heads

I am rebuilding a 1979 350 engine and am looking at roller tip rockers. The ad says it will fit all 23 deg heads(mine are stock "882's" .Are they 23 degrees? Also I read a performance book that suggested not to use full rockers with needle bearings for street use. I didn't see any that didn't use them. Any thoughts? And are they self aligning or not? Thanks

yes 23*, no not self aligning, don't know about the needle bearings, maybe the book is old and now all of them use needle bearings, when before they were considerd only raceing peices, but dont know on that one.

Make sure you have those heads magnafluxed. 882s are thin cast smog heads that are prone to cracking.
