Hey guys i have 1991 formula firebird with a 305 in it all stock. I am trying to remove the power steering pump... I need Help or some advice on to pull this out w/o breaking it. Its a pain in the you know what. I have a bolt behind the power steering pump itself THATS those darn hex screws. I mean come on. I NEED HELP. I pulled most of the bolts off and just need this one bolt behind the power steering pump if any of you ever pulled one of these off before suggestions ASAP please.
you need a power steering pump pulley remover. you need to pull off the pulley while the pump is still in the car. you can then access the bolts that hold it to the bracket. i dunno if you can rent this at the parts house or not. you need this puller. and to make things funner for you, you will need to procure the pulley installer as well. i think a crude version of the installer will be included in the box with the new ps pump.

Thanks for the info on that. Thankfully i am not taking the power steering off the bracket was just trying to get it off the engine as whole. I found out how to do it WHAT A PITA. I will never ever pull another one. I will stick to my older engine with the steering pump 3 bolts and out. and there bolts LOL not those damn hex bolts.
