Re-building 350 TPI help with parts advice, input please!
So im re-building my 350 TPI in my 90 Iroc, its all stock except the Holley 54mm (i think) throttle body and K&N filter. so basically ive got some parts picked out and just want some ideas and input as to if there going to work together and what i should use for the stuff im missing.
just for a baseline, its going to be my daily driver, dont want to get to crazy but i want it beefy. i do plan on rebuilding the rear end and have a heavy duty rebuilt 700r4 with a stage 2 B&m shift kit. i know itll be alot to go through but any help would be much appreciated.
now i know theres more to it and thats the other bit i need help with, what Cam to use? ive heard a ZZ9 cams are good. as well what ignition? upgrade to a MSD box? what would be good headers? am i going to need a custom prom or would a hypertech ect chip do?
what else am i missing? its just a lil overwhelming, this is my first real project and i dont have anyone to really help me so im hoping my third gen bretheren can. thanks!

Re: Re-building 350 TPI help with parts advice, input please!
it would be wise to rebuild the bottom end as well espically if it has some miles on it... i upgraded my old l98 with a crane cam and a highflow tpi and some headwork on the stock block and a few months later i spung three bearings on the dyno... btw that holley should be a 52mm instead of a 54mm..

the gm hot is a good combo with that setup u have there.... they gotten 354hp by 410tq with that setup........ that would be a very daily driver..... i have that combo minus the heads and the power feels really good....

thats at the motor and they dont tell you that you need to port the manifold to get that.... i would port the runners plenum and base to get those numbers...

i do plan on porting everything as well
and even if thats not at the wheels thats still plenty for me

yeah that combo you would be more than happy with.... i would also do things like a new torque arm, sfcs, lcas, panhard bar to really take advantage of all that new power.... after that then you will be set...

i've heard from a couple different sources that the
"roller"blocks can crack in the lifter valley, but don't
know any details on where the cracks occur-just
something to check if you have the shortblock apart.

ive seen braces for the valley on jegs, would that help prevent that?
