Car: 89 Camaro Engine: LB9 Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: ? | Relearning Idle on a v8?
Hey. Ive seen a few threads discussion a way to have the computer relearn idle. However, I think they only apply to the v6?
My car wont hold an idle in gear. I replaced IAC, TPS, all that jazz. The guage cluster is wrong, says I idle out of gear at 1500, but it sounds more like 1000-1100. Recently the car has been starting to idle a little better too. Its kind of hit or miss whether or not it will stall so I usually just pop it into nuetral at the lights.
Also, my car will run like a bat out of hell when it first starts. Spinning tires into third gear. But about a minute later it looses a lot of its umph. I realize this is probably unrelated to the idle problem but its been on my mind recently. Maybe a bad ECU is responsible for both? | | | |
