1986 305 Camaro Ticking noise - engine

I just replaced the transmission filter and thank god my transmission is much smoother ^^ But now I have a ticking noise when idling? It seems to be coming from the back side, maybe close to the distributor..hmmm Dunno if it has anything to do with my car wanting to cut out here and there & it requires a decent amount of pedal it seems to get acceleration but I think I run lean anyway thats a different problem...And my oil pressure doesn't seem to be right, dunno

Just so happy that my tranny is fine but now another problem, if you want to know I'm due for an oil change on the 10nth, could possible my mechanical fuel pump be going bad somehow? I just replced that thise spring so I have no clue

Thanks!

Re: 1986 305 Camaro Ticking noise - engine

could be the fuel pump-have had trouble with those
ticking in the past, cause was the pivot shaft for the
actuating arm working loose where the aluminum
housing is staked to hold the shaft.Problem could
also be an exhaust leak, heat riser valve etc...
