what are some decent heads for a 383.

now that im starting to gather up some money to finish my 383 im shopping for heads. I was wondering what heads there are that are decent and will make atleast 400rwhp. i have flat top pistons with 2 valve relief so im thinking 64cc combustion chamber. i dont plan on going above 550 lift. also are mpfi and carb intakes swappable on heads?

Dollar for dollar, matching the flow numbers, and seeing the results on a dyno the AFR Eliminator's are hard to beat!!!!! If you want a bit more, get the CNC'd chambers and ports version!

I you want AFR's let me know. They can be gotten for much cheaper than what you see on Summit and other places.

Re: what are some decent heads for a 383.

For the monies, Dart Pro 1 aluminum 200cc/64cc heads. Thats what I'm running. Decent for street, great for track. If you can afford AFR 195'ish heads then go for it, but their above Dart prices.
