clearance issues with aftermarket intake manifold

I just came across a 350 vortec out of a 98 2500 chevy pick up. I plan on putting that into my 83 camaro. Would an aftermarket edelbrock intake fit underneath a stock hood? I've got the z28 hood, and i think they have less clearance then others, please help out. Also will my headers from my 305 bolt up to the vortec heads?

Thanks!

depending on what intake your want. if you want an intake with a higher rise plen. or isolated intake runner. you will most likely need a cowl hood. for any regular replacement intakes you should be find. i have a gm performance alum. intake on my car. and it bearly fits. but that is with a one inch plate for the carb. i have on it.

Edelbrock Performer RPM, Holley carb, drop base air cleaner will all fit under a stock hood.

Your headers will fit Vortec heads.
