I got another dumb question guys. Is there possible way to see if my motor has really been bored and stroked, or do I have to tear it down, the guy i bought it from said it was done but no recepts go figure. Now this is my first iroc so im not sure what power it should have, say compared to a fox mustang, so far my feelings say that this car would eat a mustang. But I have heard that a stock mustang would beat a stock iroc unless you put a turn in the race. Any reply would be appriciated

First thing you can do is inspect the engine block casting number. It is located on the drivers side behind the cylinder head, on the bellhousing. There are numerous places where you can find the casting numbers, its been a while for me so I don't have them memorized anymore, but post back what you can. This will tell you if you have the motor you think you do (won't tell you the crankshaft that is in it or the bore size but it is a start.

Second, you can take a valve cover off, and see the casting number on the cylinder head. This will also tell you a bit more about the motor you have.

That is pretty much all you can do (that I can think off) without taking a lot more apart.
