| Re: Question on motor build First thing you can do is inspect the engine block casting number. It is located on the drivers side behind the cylinder head, on the bellhousing. There are numerous places where you can find the casting numbers, its been a while for me so I don't have them memorized anymore, but post back what you can. This will tell you if you have the motor you think you do (won't tell you the crankshaft that is in it or the bore size but it is a start.
Second, you can take a valve cover off, and see the casting number on the cylinder head. This will also tell you a bit more about the motor you have.
That is pretty much all you can do (that I can think off) without taking a lot more apart. |
