Fuel pump (where to buy/kind)

I finally got my fuel pump out tonight and now i need to know which type i should get and where to get it without over paying. I did a general search on the net and was a little overwhelmed trying to figure out which was the one i should get.

So here is what i need. I have a 92 rs 350 eng (obviously not stock) Pump should be automatic(electric) pump - In tank

So what suggestions do you guys have? brands vs prices please.

edit: -- sorry, forgot to mention. The car was converted to TPI

Search for vette pump here

I member folks saying it has metal gears inside over plastic or something.

could be mistaken.

Re: Fuel pump (where to buy/kind)

I used the standard TBI pump from CarQuest, and it's been fine for 3 years now. This is of course assuming your using a return-style regulator like the Mallory 4309.

Re: Fuel pump (where to buy/kind)

Either way, I'd have way less worry over a CarQuest part than an Autozone part.

Re: Fuel pump (where to buy/kind)

I have always heard to buy a Walboro pump due to higher quality. That could just be an opinion but I have heard it from quite a few people. At one point I purchased an Autozone pump which died within 6 months.
