Slow Acceleration UGH!!

My damned car just got running the other day and The acceleration is so slow its annoying no power at all. I was told the timing might be off a tooth. Does this sound reasonable? I'm tired of my car not running and I need some advice.

Re: Slow Acceleration UGH!!

It's very possible it's the timing, I just got my 'bird 3 weeks ago, and the mechanic set the timing back on it so I could pass the emissions test, and one of the first things I noticed was that it was all of a sudden a hell of a lot more sluggish. Take it to a mechanic and see if they'll check the timing for you, it doesn't take more than 5 minutes, and my mechanic adjusted mine for free.
