Trying to find a windage tray that will clear a 383 L98 block. Wondering what tray people are running and if there is a direct bolt on or if it has to be modified with a bfh. I have a moroso flat tray for the 350 but it isnt even close to clearing. Any help is appreciated.
Where is your clearance problem?
I used a regular Moroso tray http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MO...0/?image=large
in my 383 with ZZ4 pan (Scat crank) .All I did was sit it lower on the studs so it has a air gap clearance on the crank throws.
I have that exact tray, scat crank, and it hits everywhere. rods and throws. could i have gotten the wrong stud kit ? Its adjusted all the way up. Arp 234-5501 sb chevy with windage tray ?
I have a stud kit for a windage tray. arp 234-5501 as stated above. Im guessing the bolt kit is for a 350 crank and the studs are not long enough. What stud kits are you guys using to get the extra height ?

It is not that they are for a 350 ; you need the style with the threaded extention to mount the tray
Like this ( I can't find a 350 listing). The 2 nuts allow you to adjust the height of the tray to whatever you require
I guess im not getting my point accross. I have the arp windage tray bolts with extensions for the tray that are adjustable. they are maxed out to the top and the crank still hits. Im wondering if you guys are using a differnt stud like milodon or something else that is taller. The arp studs are not long enough.
That is the kit. It has 5 short studs like shown in the pic.Plus 5 studs for the tray which are the longer ones for the tray to sit on. they just aernt long enough. what studs are you using with yours ?
