Head/cam help

Hey guys I tried some searches and nothing popped up. I am rebuilding an 86 305 TPI. I am getting headers and exhaust, and am going to match port the heads and intake with the gasket. I am interested in k12-249-4 (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-K12-249-4/). I used the CamQuest from Comp Cams, now in the requirements CamQuest says "Requires machining on cylinder heads". I am wondering what kind of machine work they are talking about. If any one can help me or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Chris

You need to top of the valve guides cut to accept the valve stem seals.

Re: Head/cam help

To be honest I have no clue what that means, but I'm hoping that doesn't matter. Now if I tell the machine shop exactly what you told me and the application, will they know what to do?
