Intake manifold year question

Ok, Right now I have my 350 .030 over w/ a set of Dart Iron Eagles on the motor. I have the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold. Now when i got the manifold the inner most 4 bolt holes were hogged out. This fit both my stock L03 and my Dart heads. I am looking to upgrade to a single plane manifold and don't want to be hogging out any holes. What year manifold do I need? I'm really confused on this and it's something so simple...

Re: Intake manifold year question

Is it because I need a specific manifold for 1987-1995 to get the center holes to line up with my cylinder heads? If so, is there ANY single plane intake manifold in these years that will clear a stock 1991 Firebird hood? I really don't want to give up the stock look...

Re: Intake manifold year question

You need a manifold that fits whatever the heads are, so... since they are aftermarket Dart heads that could be either one. Are the center 4 bolts on the intake slightly vertical rather than perpendicular to the head? If so, its the 87-up, if not is the 86-earlier.

I dont know what will fit, the Performer RPM is about as much as will fit with a stock hood. Edelbrock has the intake height measurements on their website, you can compare what you have now to whats out there and pick one that is the same height or real close.
