What is this part..pic inside..need help

Thanks all for taking a look. What is this part? I unplug it while the car is running, no SES and the car doesnt stumble, what is this for.

I have been hunting down a little problem, and just trying to figure it out. When I start up the car, it will hesitate and try to die, but after about 1 minute of running, it will run ok, this is hot and cold. Any ideas would help on this.

Replaced:
Cap/Rotor
Thermostat

Looks like the EGR solenoid. It would have one vacuum line going to the egr valve, and the other to your vacuum source. On some of the cars the computer notices if you disconnect it and gives a light, but not all of them.

Yes, it does go to a valve. Would this cause any of my initial idling issues?

Yes. It would create a vacuum leak.
