Car won't accelerate!!!
Hey guys heres a tricky one..
Randomly my car will have no response to pressing the gas from stand still. Its like it basically doesnt want to accelerate.....almost like its getting no gas. Itll sputter and bog and then stall. If you just let it idle though itll run perfectly fine!! This seems to happen after linger trips.
Recently changed the ignition coil, ignition control module, TPS and cap. Like i said itll do this randomly so one minute itll be running fine next its bogging hesitating and stalling.
I checked the fuel pressure and it seems to be within specs. A few things that come to mind may be an intermittent low fuel pressure or a bad pickup coil. Any other thoughts? Its an 87 5.0 TPI. Thanks guys!

Re: Car won't accelerate!!!
Sounds like what happened o me fuel pressure might read fine bu u have to do a volume test on the file pump witch involves hooking up the fuel pressure gauge and obtaining a empty 2o oz bottle insert the bleed off hoe into the bottle and fire it up and let it idle if the 20 oz bottle does not get gafe full in 15-30 seconds you need a fuel pump see my post cutting out at 2500 ish

Not a bad idea. Also, because its so easy to check, ohm out your injectors. They can work ok at idle because its less load, but once there is load they will fail.
Dont forget to check themwhen cold AND warm too
