I just recently purchased a 1983 Z28 with 20,000 miles. The car ran great when I brought it home, but I needed to replace the oil pressure switch so I took off the air cleaner to try to find the location of the switch. I disconnected a couple vacuum lines to remove the air cleaner, but hooked everything back up. The car would not start after I replaced the airfilter. I let the car sit for about thirty minutes and it finally started, but the check engine light has been on ever since. Has anyone had this problem? Should I just reset the check engine light? Is there anything else I should know that might have caused the light to come on?

Well you must have done something bad. Retrace your steps and and see what went wrong. You should have a code to read and see what it is.

Not sure what I could have done by taking off the air filter. I also have replaced the temp sensor. Now my problem has gotten worse. I took the car for a ride down the street this morning hoping maybe the check engine light might reset on it's own. I noticed that my ram air flaps stopped working. (Any ideas?) The worst problem is when I got it back to my garage, turned it off and tried to restart it, it would start and then stall in a few seconds. Now it won't start at all and I have not done anything. I have checked all the vacuum lines to make sure everything is connected.
