idle surging problems.

I have a 1992 camaro rs, with a t5, and a 350 from a 1989 Chevy truck, tbi injection.

I purchased it as it sits, so im unaware of when it was done. Start off by saying what I do know-

Every sensor related to the car running is new, all test fine.
No check engine light appears (and yes, it DOES work properly)
Car runs strong at throttle, no pings, knocks, or other noises, sounds, smells)
Car has NO cats, or O2 sensors
Gauges read off, mph is about 15 mph fast, rpm around 600 off, temp is WAY off. Fuel and voltage, oil pressure SEEM accurate.
Injectors are cleaned, functioning normally
Fuel pressure is ok, not the issue
No vacuum leaks

Appears to be factory computer (305).
Doesn't matter the temperature, or the amount of fuel in the tank.

Now, here's the rundown of the problem..

Car constantly surges at idle, going from 500ish to 1500ish, constantly. Runs down the road fine, no surging. Car will not die when doing this.
Car DOES occasionally die when pushing in the clutch at speed, press in clutch, rpms immediately drop down, most time it catches itself, sometimes no. Seems to happen more frequently when doing things like turning off an off ramp. Car will immediately restart (except one exception seen below)
It has happened ONCE that after dying, car would not restart for 45 minutes or so, then it started normally.
If you upnplug one sensor or another it will usually temporarily alleviate the issue, but not always, and not always the same sensor.

Any ideas? Shop that its at now seems to think it could be the computer not "talking" to the engine correctly, as its thinking its a 305. Thoughts? Other ideas?
Could it be

Re: idle surging problems.

No vacuum leaks
Does that include the EGR, PCV, and brake power booster?

Is the IAC functional? Is TPS voltage correct and stable?
