multiple strange problems out of nowhere
Not sure exactly where to post this so general seemed the best fit. I've had two previous issues with my transmission shifting very high even with the tv cable properly adjusted a million times over. I was also overheating very easily even with the fan stuck on with a toggle switch. The start of those problems was when I was messing with my switch trying to add another one for the lockup. I decided against it and repaired the tcc circuit. I must have somehow reversed the polarity on the fan switch during the process, because I just noticed the fan has been blowing the wrong direction and fixed it.
So my car starts immediately running in the right temp range again, and the transmission is shifting properly as well. All good, right? Well, I took a ride after doing that and the car died on me 3 times. Not immediate shut off, it would sputter and stay alive for a minute if I kept feathering the throttle. Then would refuse to start for a short period of time, and then start and run perfectly. It did it twice, the third time I pulled the ecm fuse to reset it. Took a mile or do drive after that with no problems.
I know I reset the ecm after I was playing with the switches, so is it possible that it learned it's parameters with a hot (around 240 for a good month daily driving) engine and when I got it running cooler those parameters didn't work well? Or what could have caused something like that? I was leaning towards fuel pump until the ecm reset seemed to have solved it, for now anyway.

Re: multiple strange problems out of nowhere
Just wanted to update this since the solution was a little on the odd side. Turned out the trans cooler either clogged or something, and the trans wasn't cooling enough or not getting good flow and making it shift like that. It still dies on hard turns with low gas so I haven't solved so if anyone can help me with that if appreciate it. Never did it before. But anyway, there it is. New radiator solved a seemingly tv related trans issue.
