Bad valve, need advice on 305 heads
Hi.
So I think my 305 tbi motor has burnt a valve. I did the rag test after noticing a pop to my exhaust note, and some valve train noise, and sure enough there seems to be some suction on the tail pipe. I don't have the money to outright replace the engine yet, so i was thinking about just repairing the valves. but I hate to re install the crappy LO3 swirl port heads. I was wondering if there was a cheap, better option or if i could get the heads modified to improve performance a little bit. ripping these heads off will be a pain and I was kind of looking for a silver lining.
thanks!

Or you can get a set of "SR torquer 305" heads already built from World Products for about the same cost as the rebuild. They are basically the above but the company builds them that way.
