have cam need lifters
as title says how do i choose lifters. Cam is custom grind and they wanted like 700 for lifters.

I know what type of cam i have. Its just that i see so many different lifters and they range so mich in price. Dont know how to pick rightnones

Sorry. It a hydrolic flat tappet. Its pretty lumpy so want to try and match best setnof lifters

It doesn't cost $700 for hydraulic flat tappet lifters... You can get a whole cam/lifters kit for $250.

If you don't know what lifters you need, then you definitely should have someone who is knowledgeable install that cam for you. It's not difficult, but there IS an art to installing flat tappet cams.. and if you've never done it before, you could potentially ruin your whole engine from a bad cam break-in.

I can install a cam. I hve lways just got cam and lifters together. I know what type of lifters i need. Just need help choosing right set. I want every component tonwork well together

Just depends what you're doing. That's really the best way to describe it. Selecting a cam is a lot harder than getting the right lifter. Picking the right lifter is only difficult if you've got to do custom measurements on unique applications

Hyd flat lifters are pretty much a commodity, as far as how they run and such as that. In fact most of the major cam mfrs all use the same source anyway; they just buy em in bulk and box em with their name on the outside.
I'm curious though; what lifters are you finding, that are $700?
