Comp Cam Guide Plate issue

Leave it up to me and Murphy to have the strangest problems. I am working on my 350 and just ordered a comp cams kit # RPG102 which consists of non aligning 1.52 roller rockers, guide plates, push rods and new locking nuts. I'm trying to install these on some Chevy aluminum heads (4101128) but for some reason the new guide plates are just a fraction too narrow and I can't seem to get the studs in. So I called comp tech support and they guy basically told me that there was no way the plate could be out of spec. So I called Summit (Retailer) and they really don't know why either, but the rep said that this could possibly be a bad set. By the way Part # 4808. I was wondering if someone would have the specs on the spacing. I'd like to put my calipers on the new guide plates and check. Summit didn't have the specs, so I'm checking on this site. Thanks in advance.

Re: Comp Cam Guide Plate issue

I'm not familiar with those heads. What are they? Do you know their original application?
