RPMs drop. Please help
So basically, I'm at my wits end. I have an '88 camaro with a 2.8 v6 and it's just got me furious. I ran it for about a month with no issues at all. Engine light on, but no problems.
Then the RPMs started dropping when I give it more than 1/8 inch of gas on the pedal. I took it to a shop and they said it's a bad TPS and Mass Airflow sensor. Replaced those and no fix.
They even replaced the distributor cap. It will idle and Rev perfect, but drop it into drive and forget about it. I am lost on what to do. Any ideas? A guy I know said check the lockup converter sensor because that was the issue with his '86 Camaro. Should I?
The muffler has a gash in it, too. It's small, but enough where little comes through the pipes. Was gonna replace that soon if the car isn't trashed. Could that be it?
