1988 Silverado 454 Heads (Important ??? Whatsit)

I was wondering what year heads will work... some places I've seen from somewhere in the 70's up to 1990, others i've asked and they said that 88 was a new style head from the pre-87's ...

Can anyone help me out? Its an 1988 Silverado with TBI (doh) ... but I need to get it running again soon so I've got to find heads ...

Anyone have any heads? LOL I need some ... stock heads are fine...

Also... was wondering if anyone could tell me what the following is... :

Ported & Polished #415 heads... I'm not sure what those are (I know what ported & polished is) ... also... Stock 906 heads...

The 906's are $150 so I question them but then again the #415 are $350 and the guy selling em also has a few other bigblock parts for sale...

Any help would be appreciated

Aaron

GM changed from the old Mark IV style BBC to the Gen V style in the 1991 production.

Your 88 is just a typical Mark IV engine and parts are everywhere for it.

I have no idea what the 906 or 415 castings are. 906 is a chrysler 440 casting isn't it? Go look for a set of 049 or 781 castings.
