EGR removal

When the shop guys put my motor back in one of the *******s broke the air tubes off my headers. Instead of throwing a fit I just told him to thread some short bolts in and call it a day so now I am left with a non-functioning EGR and all the air pump crap. so to remove the air pump on and L98 with the V-belt all I need to do it remove the pump and the single belt that drive it, right?? am I going to throw an engine light if it isn't there?? also, if it does throw a light is there a way I can wire the two old connectors from the EGR selenoid together to make the computer think it is working?? thanks for the help

I'm confused. What do the air tubes have to do with the EGR being disconnected? The EGR and AIR are 2 different systems. If just the AIR is disconnected, you wont get any codes because the ECM doesnt care.
