Today it was terrible weather, it was snowing, but it would melt when it hit the ground, so it was like white rain. Well I get into my car, look over at the passenger side floor... WTF!? A giant friggin puddle, just sitting there, and nothing dripping to make it wet. It just got wet some how, it was drenched, where the hell did this leak come from? What is it leaking underneath the carpet? I haven't had this leak before, crazy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
...BTW, the car I used to use, my dads 86 Grand Am, which I used while trying to find Camaro, is now totaled. I was driving down a road, around a turn, I see this car, and a guy waiving or something, so I goto move to the middle of the road to get out of way, then my car starts slipping and hydroplaning. I started fishtailing, I was trying to hold it as best I could... but then the rear end slipped around and BAM.. I nailed the front end into the tree, the car is totaled. I wasn't even close to speeding, the road was just on giant piece of ice.. black ice. Luckily those old 86 Pontiac seat belts held me in, even some of the plastic came off. I even got seatbelt bruises, luckily I was wearing seatbelt, I got bruised knee/shin, might have been worse... It was on Monday, it was snowing, sleeting, everything, the weather was bad for my Maro, so I took the ol trusty Grand Am, unfortunately I guess Allendale didnt salt . Thank G0D, I didn't take my Maro out, but I'd rather not have either car totaled. BTW, there was two cars I had to swerve around, they were on the sides of the road, they crashed before me! And that was technically my first car, I had fun in it, I loved it as much as my Maro. Thought I'd letchas know, lets all say a farewell to the 86 Grand Am...

sorry about your car man. about your leak though, it could be your heater core leaking antifreeze or like in my car, someone put a hole in the firewall to run wires and didn't plug it afterwards. also check your weatherstripping, it's notorious for leaks, especially t-tops

basically what ukrane said. Probably water leaking in through the weather stripping on the door, window, or t-tops or maybe a hole that has rusted through somewhere int eh car. Mine does this sometimes when its a real hard driving rain because the weahter stripping on the t-tops themselves that shrouhds the windows was cut off by the last owner.
I had a similar problem on my car, but it was on the drivers side. Water would come in under the carpet when it rained. It turned out to be a crack in some black sealant under the grill near the wipers. You know the black grill that goes along the car between the windshield and the edge of the hood? Remove the bolt it has holding it down in the middle, and gently lift one corner up. Look under there with a flashlight. I had some pretty big cracks down there, but I fixed it with some black silicon. The water would come into the car through there, and travel down along the firewall, under the carpet. That may or may not be the problem on your car, but go take a look.

Just a shot in the dark here, but you say you don't have a heater core in your car, so I'm assuming you did an AC delete and went ahead and took the heater out too. When you did that, did you take out the ac box (don't know the name for it) that sits on the firewall in the engine bay on the passenger's side?
Why not just sitin the car and have someone spray water all over the window and other places see if its a leak from rain or something. If not try the cooling system.

I had a wet passanger floor so I took out all my interior and put a garden hose on my roof and found out where it was coming from. There is a wiring harness behind the passanger kick panel. That is where I found my leak. Now I just have to figure out how to stop it. My car also smells like mildew so I have to figure out how to get rid of the smell too. Any Ideas let me know.
on the leak, get a tube of black RTV silicone & pull the rubber plug out, do not cut the rubber plug off the harness, if you can, slide it down the harness some & put some silicone on the harness & then slide the plug back into place. next put some silicone on the outside of the rubber plug into the groove where it mounts in the sheet metal & put the plug back in & let it dry.
on the mildew, you will need to replace the padding under the carpet. replace any of the padding that may have gotten wet. water will wick through the padding & can be wet on the drivers' side even though the leak was on the passenger side. if you leave in any of it that has been wet, the smell will come back. the padding isn't too expensive so you could replace all of it.
when you have the carpet out, get a can of Lysol disinfectant spray & spray down the floor boards & the back side of the carpet. you could wash the carpet while it is out also, if you do wash it, do both sides, the bottom first & then the top. a stiff bristle push broom & laundry detergent works for me. be sure you get all of the detergent rinsed out.
DO NOT use anything that has bleach in it! then hang it up to dry in the sun for a few days. before you put the carpet back in after washing, spray the bottom side down with some Lysol.
of course before you replace the padding & clean the carpet, make certain that all of the water leaks have been fixed.
arnt you the guy with the custom lexan windshield? think I looked at your cardomain site a long time ago.. anyhoo maybe it isnt sealed well enough? But like others said, have one person sit inside for leaks while someone else goes along the normal leak points with a garden hose, thats what we do at the dealership I work at, maybe not too scientific but it works.

the dealer has a spray you can buy, oderless (really is) and this stuff really works! I thought sure but, gave it a shot and did it just as the directions say and wow it works
I don't know but, I can find out. 90% of the dealers will have it. they should know what you want (they use it in the vents and evap core for a musty smell removal)
Well i put all new weather stripping all around the t-tops, doors and hatch and had holes welded on roofline where previous owner ran screws through the roof trying to hold up the plastic strip above the back seats and I had the wiring harness sealed up on the passengerside panel and NO MORE LEAKS!!! YAHOOOOOOO!
I guess that mystery leak is a dang wiring harness? Gay...

i have seen plenty of water leaks caused by a wiring harness, some caused by the throttle cable, others caused by the speedo cable, then there have been a few caused by the hood release cable.
i have even seen a coolant leak inside the car that was caused by the computer system.

Was my first impression.
Anyways, I did some brief looking around and I have some kind of cancerous rust bursting crack near the passenger rear of the front fender on the fire wall. I think I am going to put some sealant on that thing.
yep, the computer system was the cause of the coolant leak in the passenger side floor board.
as you probably don't know, GM used some poorly designed coolant sensors & connectors in the early days, the sensor would start to leak & the coolant would wick up into the wiring harness. the insulation on the wires would break down & short together & kick a code. but on this car that didn't happen, the insulation stayed intact. the coolant flowed up through the wires into the ECM, then puddled up under the carpet. it was a easy fix with some new padding, cleaned carpet, a new sensor, connector, ECM & replacing the CTS wires.
i think some silicone sealant will fix that rust right up
