Who would win 92 Camaro vs. 03 Stang

My girlfriends friend has this brand new 03 Mustang. It is just a baseline. Not a GT or Snake. How fast our these cars and would it give me a run for my money or not.
I just want to know if I could win. I can hammer through the gears with my shifter now. It seems to help out alot.
I am running a 305 V-8.
Thanks Oh ya even though it might get beat I'm still gonna run.

Yea if you have a LO3 then I say they got you beat. Those baseline Mustangs aren't that slow. The V6s actually pull a decent amount of power. Line it up anyways. Who knows you still might win, they might screw up or burn the tires

At our Mustang shootout a BONE STOCK 1999 V6 went 15.400 @ 90.41. Not bad with the elevation at 1000 feet, and the temps in the low 80s!

I think somone needs to learn a thing or 2 about how to act on a board before they get kicked off. Not that it would be much of loss. Probably just another one of those 15 year old kids coming on here to act hard and start fights.

But hey thanks guys for the info. I'll give it a try when she gets back from Dallas and I'll video tape it.

my ex pulled an 11.92 in her dads 70 442. dont be a moron. just cause theyre chicks dont mean they cant drive. ever here of stephanie reaves? died last year? a WHEELCHAIR ridden CANCER patient that consistently raced in i think outlaw street, where a 7 second timeslip is the price of doin business. lets see your 79 Z28 WS6 do that and what cant you belive about the 11 second gn? that a chick drives it? or that a v6 runs 11's? go to turbo-buick.com, youll learn. personally i think its horrible that anyone could make either of those mistakes. oh yeah, it makes me sick that youre using my state, cali, as a reference. do you think were all as ignorant as you down here? let me hook you up against this chick out here, runs a 12.7 second ECHO. or this other girls vortech and nitrous'd 96. oh yeah, hers is a REAL WS6. youre a dumba**, shut your mouth before you get a rocket 455 shoved down it.

Is the only thing pontiac can do is start trouble? I don't know what part of Cali he lives in where V6 cars suck so much. Evidently not So. Cal. I know someone around here with a supercharged V6 Mustang that can't very easily beat the hell out of him. This guy needs to get his ignorant head out of his *** and open his eyes. I also know a girl that drives a 1968 Camaro that does 11s that can easily mop him. Also notice that he never posts times of what he can actually do? I am just waiting for the mods to put him on probation. Can't happen soon enough

Back to the topic at hand...

MM&FF got a 5-speed '99 V6 to run a best of 14.94 bone stock. Most average drivers will be in the 15.3 - 15.6 range.

Back to the topic!

If you're gonna race the mustang do it from a stop. u might get the jump on the stang if its an auto. i raced my friend with a 2001 mustang with an intake in my 305 TPI and was even with him from a 30 mph roll up to maybe 90 or 100(don't look at speedometer while racing). but when i raced him from a stop i took him by a carlength cuz of my torque.
just run him for fun. good luck!

In my opinion, you have her beat. I rented one while I was away(2001 Stang 3.8 auto) and it was a dog! My Saturn felt peppier. You win...especially if you have a 5spd.
