V6 Ford Ranger thinks he has what it takes

Today I am sitting at a light minding my own business. Cruising in my 02 F-150. A V6 Ford Ranger pulls up next to me and starts throwing the revs at me. We take off and I pull on him by about a truck length (extended cab) and we hit the twisties. I know my truck can handle what we were doing so I slowed just a bit for the twisties and we moved through them. He's gaining on me and then we straighten out. I punch it and leave his half truck behind. I slow down as we approach 80 on a regular street. Not something I would advise doing in a truck BTW. I have made my point and I slow down. And then the r*cer flyby. He tosses his hands up in victory after I have slowed down like he accomplished something. We ran for a quarter mile as it was. I have no idea what gave him the idea that a Ford Ranger was fast. Oh well. My girlfriend who was with me at the time thought it was funny.

What's sad is I get more people trying to race that truck then I do try and race the Trans-AM.

None of my friends will race my TA. They all drive imports. Not a one of them will race me.

At lights I have rarely been picked on in the TA. I have almost never started throwing revs at anyone ever.

At lights everyone wants to take on my truck.

The sad part is my almost totally stock truck wins most of the time.

I have the same problem with my import friends. They won't touch the Mustang but lose to the Jeep! It is fun being able to shut them up and not have to work for it!
