Hey guys I know this kid who has a Chrylser 300 C. I am not sure what year it is but it has a 5.7 340 hp hemi engine with an auto trans. It is definitly a heavy car by the looks of it. Anyway the kid is always asking me to race him. I dont know much about these cars so any input would be helpful. Thanks

Hmm from what i hear they are quick sedan cars. But i believe they do weigh alot.. From what i heard they run mid 14s in a 1/4. From reading you sig i see your in the mid 13s. If his is stock i think you will deff win for sure. If you were both stock i think it would be a drivers race, esp if you have a G92 package. I think you will win Due to being heavy for the Hemi 300.
As mentioned the 300C is a mid 14 second car. The Magnums seem to run a couple tenths slower, the new Charger Hemi a tenth or two quicker. If you're running mid 13s you won't have a problem.
But. Mopar makes an SRT8 version of all three with a 425HP/420ft-lb 6.1L Hemi, and they all run low 13s with that setup. I've seen aftermarket supercharged versions done by a company in Riverside, CA run 12.1 in a 300C SRT8 thus modified.

for my sig
Well guys we got a nice day last week so I brought the car out for a little spin and ran into the kid with the 300.
RESULTS
It was pretty much a 0-60 race in which I won hands down. I spun a little off the line, then chirped second but that did not seem to matter much at all. I was a little surprised with the outcome, I though that 340 hp motor would make up for the weight.
my car runs mid 13s at 100 and I ran one on the highway...he edged me slightly. I am sure from a dead stop i'd walk him, I have done so at the track, but at higher speeds where the TPI starts running out of breath, this thing moves well...so be carefull and pick your races according to the strengths of your car, not your opponent.

I'm debating going manuel or a 9.5" torque converter. That will bring my trap speed up in either case. In all fairness the 103 was in better than ideal conditions. But my car consistently traps over 100 mph with a few 101+.
I still have more to do. A 52MM TB, port a set of SLP Runners, gutted MAF, pulleys, some weight reduction and the a 2800 stall 9.5" might get me 12s. What do you think>?
