My point exactly. When you buy a set of headers, be it shorty's mid-length's or LT's, base you decision on the headers fit and finish rather than any perceived "HP improvements" over another brand.
Oh, and I plan on getting those $900 kooks for my Firebird this year to replace my JetHots. The 1 7/8 primaries should show an improvement over the 1/34 I have now. Plus their stainless steel (which is the main reason I'm switching- durability)
He made a good point but those headers aren't design as good as hooker, headmen, SLP, nor Pacesetters for that matter. Just open your eyes you can clearly see the differences. The collectors are smaller the runners are not 1 5/8 the y-pipe is 2.5 that picture looked just like the set I owned. We were only trying to state the obvious to you and tell you that you can get hookers ceramic coated for the same price! I don't care what you buy get what you want it ain't no hair off my A$$ yours when you get those headers

Yours is a '93 right?
I'd love a set of those Kooks headers, but I'm actually in the process of installing my Pacesetter LTs and ORY (yeah yeah I'm cheap) at the moment. I've got the driver's side buttoned up and the passenger's side manifold is out of the car, i'll finish it up tommorow. Alot of people talk crap about these headers but the driver's side fits PERFECTLY. I didn't even have to clearance for the steering shaft like I was expecting too. I did manage to kill a sparkplug and the sending unit on the driver's side though
These are plenty for even a mild cam and lightly ported stock heads (380ish rwhp). After these I'll probably end up getting a 150-200 shot though. Hopefully near 500 rwhp on a 200 shot.
Around here i would say about 85% of the stangs cant keep up with me and another 10 can almost keep up and 5% can keep up or possibly beat me i have only been handed one loss out of many to mustangs and it was a to a turbo charged foxbody and i still took him off the line, but yeah the majority of stand drivers in my area are complete *******s and stuck up i think the only one who wasnt was the one kid that beat me.
Do you spit chewing tabacco and wear cowboy boots?

You're a moron. It doesnt take that great of a mustang to shut out your poor 305. Any foxbody with a V8 can, and any new one with a V8 after 98 could could do it just as quick. The only stangs you could beat are the 97 and 98s and the V6 models.

Even a L98 can't say what you just said.
Should I grab some friends and head out to RI? I mean were talking an hour to an hour and a half and I could have 10 Mustangs that will stomp all over this kid. Maybe it would be easier for him to come here, take his beating, and go crawling back to RI???

you must have either out of shape mustangs or just the 94/95-98 mustagns where you live. can't remember the starting year of the **** stangs as far as stock goes, or they can't drive
but most any mustang of the 80's or 99+ should put a spanking on you. unless again the car is not taken car of or they just can't drive
unless you are not telling us your car really has a lot more work on it then it seems
Well in the two towns that i spend most my time in, the majority of the mustangs are not foxbodies they are inbetween the foxbody and the new retro dont really know what years i have only raced one foxbody and like i said he pretty much destroyed me, but he was also turbocharged, the rest have been the inbetween GT's and as far as i know, my engine is completly stock unless it has aftermarket internals but sense i bought it i have not put any upgrades into besides routine maintence, however i am left to belive that there is some work done to it because when i raced my brother in his 94 LT1 trans am, I took him off the line but then he caught up and blew past me, I know my car isnt extremly fast and i know any well taken car of 5.0 fox body should take me but honestly around here the other mid 90 gt's arent that quick, and to 25th i doubt you, but i was in no way trying to offend you, I wasn't looking to start any trouble, but when my car is finished if you want to race i dont see why not id be cool with that maybe meet a car show or something, but as my car sits now it would be a waste of gas.

Regarding the race with your brother in his LT1, if your brother didnt get a good launch or you got a better reaction by even the slightest margin, its very well possible with a stock TPI. The TPI's torque power curve is greater and peaks faster than the LT1. But as soon as it peaks, the TPI is toast.
Yeah Like i said i took him off the line but then he blew past me, but we were both a little suprised by that, he has had 7 third gen camaros and that is first 4th gen. However, none of his third gens were a 305 tpi so he didnt really know what to expect but he said it suprised him that i took him from there and it certainly suprised me, and then when i raced that turbo fox body it was pretty much the same thing, but to a lesser degree seeing as he smoked my brother also.
Your a 20 post wonder dogging on me and Mustangs. By the time your cars done, It will probably still be a waste of gas for me... Thanks but no thanks. You want to talk a big game down to Mustangs, be prepared to get called out, no matter what site your on!

mustangs suck I beat up on those little 4 cyl ones all the time. jeez can't they produce a better car then that?

what does the fact that I'm new to site have anything to do with anything? I tried being nice but obviously are about as intelligent as everyone else that thinks a 4.6 liter mustang is a muscle car. So when you have as many brain cells as i have fingers, why don't you come talk to me. And if you had half the IQ of a stale cupcake then i wouldn't get called out on any site that was meant for F-bodies or camaros or trans ams because there would be no mustang drivers on there.

I could be really mean and disect this post, then point out everything you typed wrong, just to prove who has the low IQ and who the unintelligent one is. But I'll just let everyone see it for themselves...
I can assure you I am a lot smarter than you would ever give me credit for, and thats fine. I dont think ANY Mustang or Fbody is a Muscle car short of the big block cars from the late 70s. And even those are questionable. A muscle car is a full frame mid to large sized car with a big block in it. Mustangs and Fbodies dont fit in that category. Sorry, NEITHER is a muscle car.
ESPECIALLY not your pathetic 305.
Hey you dont want to come race, thats fine. Sit back down, keep to yourself, and dont let the door hit you on the way out. You wont be missed, as we can tell you have NOTHING positive to contribute.
you almost make a good point except for the fact that im not trying to type grammatically correct on a website, I have more important things to do then worry about that. And i love how you try and put down my 305 when a fox body 5.0 is only a 302.

So you're openly admitting that you're writing and language skills are so inadequate that it takes effort for you to type correctly? You actually have to worry about it? Well now I just feel sorry for you.

don't think he said anything about a 4.6 being a muscle car. just that his mustang would be able to beat your car I think. easily enough. though must add except for those few slow years that 4.6 mustang from 99+ has more muscle then a 305

so what happens if I own a mustang and a thirdgen????
wouldn't I be a mustang driver in that case? even though I am on here to help out my thirdgen? you claim this as not going to happen but wouldn't it happen in this case?

LOL so that's your comback.
if you knew much you would know that it isn't all in the size.
think of this a honda S2000 is only what 2.0L? you would lose if the guy can drive.
as far as your 302 vs 305 it's a very different ball game. one of the nicest things about the 302 vs your 305 is bore size. your 305 shrouds the valves horribly compared to his 302. it isn't always the size the matters like they say. that is unless your small and don't know how to use what you have. kinda like the 305
EDIT: when the hell did I get a Vbgarage? guess it's time to add pictures of my powerhouse honda . and BTW guys I'm going r<x>ice on my rx7. think it is 3 1/2 to 4" tips. woot woot
Hey I was willing to help with your win/loss percentage against Mustangs but you didnt want any part of it. Now keep struggeling to make your sentances readable. I too have better things to do (if it took more than 30 seconds to type these responses Id hate life).
Yeah, these cars own the 1/8th mile. I can hang with stock LS1 car in the 1/8th, yet I have 100 hp less, go figure. But the guys that race at the track all the time know what I mean by your flipping through the cds past the 1/8th mile in a tpi car
They have 20 years of technology and still can beat us on the street. Thats why I don't own a ford, also they catch on fire
I took an 05 mustang at the track the other night, and an srt-4. luckily, nither guy could handle the tree, cause i won on reaction time alone. they ran 14.0, and 13.9 and i was runin 14.25, and 14.4. if my rection wasnt at .2, and theres in the .8s, well its obvious.

actually, the LT1s torque peak comes in at an early 2400rpms while a TPIs doesnt peak til 3200rpms. and while the TPIs torque may "curve", the LT1s stays nearly flat from 2000 - 4500rpms. my bone stock 93' LT1 dynoed just over 300rwtq from 2100 all the way to 4700rpms
