lol. GMC 2500HD on the on-ramp
It was a big two lane left turn which turned into an on-ramp. This beast of a truck is sitting next to me. Late model, no more than a year or two old. I'm in the outer lane. The light turns green and I start the turn with an ever-so-slight hint of aggressiveness off the line. I realized he was right with me and as soon as we both were pointed straight (20mph roll) we both hit it. We were dead even till about 55 mph (4000RPM in 2nd for me) then I started pulling. He was 2 or 3 lengths behind me by 85 and I let off.

I was kind of embarrassed that it was as close as it was. How fast are those trucks? It was definitely a diesel.

modern diesels have an impressive ammount of power, and with a little work, loads more. The only specs i have in front of me are from 2004, 6.6l Duramax 300 horse and 520 fl/lbs stock.

Time for some upgrades, lol.

Did it sound stock? Because I know they have a lot of parts for the diesel trucks and I know a lot of those guys make pretty impressive numbers.

low 9's/high 8's in the 1/8 is just a tuner away with a 2500 duramax.

i know of a powerstroke f250 that clicks off mid 12's on a tune and a kit...

dodge 4x4 cummins was running 10.30's all day at the pinks thing in commerce.
