I read the whole thread before I realized he had a TBI car. Geez no wonder. A stock 5.0 Mustang has 225 HP and runs mid-high 14's. A stock TBI f-body has 170 HP and runs low 16's. Of course he would spank you. Just because a thirdgen has a V8 doesnt mean its a fast V8. That stock V8 TBI is half the reason why thirdgens get so laughed at. People dont understand the difference in power, they just know its a V8 (and think they're all 350's).

+1

But, if it is true then you have learned your lesson I hope.

You do know he has no legal right to your car? Those types of transactions would never hold up in court say you decided not to hand over the title and he takes you to court. Of coarse if you signed a written agreement and/or already signed it over then your out of luck.

Not that I am saying to back out of a mans deal, but its kind of silly to even do it in the first place. Of coarse if you could and did back out then you have to deal with that situation as well.

I had to deal with this one time here in Ohio. To kids with their tuners decided to do it. Well one lost and signed it over. However, dad later found out and came to me to get his kids car back. Come to find out in Ohio if you do this it can be considered gambling, and there for be illegal.

Good luck

That's why it's always good to be educated about vehicles (esp your own) before doing something like that. Eight cylinders do not always = fast. I don't know about where you live, but here some 4 banger civics would pull bus lengths on me.

I think it's kinda funny myself. I'd race for cash but I'll be damned if I'd risk a title for a race unless he was REALLY dumb and I KNEW I was waaay faster. Even at that it would be a tough decision to make. It only takes one missed gear or broken part to lose. Wow, what a moron....now he should sue Rich on Pinks for putting the thought in his head!!

crap box LO3's give all of them a bad name, i know mine burns a stock 350 TPI.......but than again its ALOT faster than it was when it was stock i will say that

people dont like it when they know they been beat by a 305 TBI
off the subject but i would like to put the bigger 454 TBI on it and feed some more fuel and air in

STILL STUPID TO RACE ANYTHING FOR A TITLE, as said b4 one missed gear, lose traction, random breakage of something, there is just to much on the line, i have heard of huge HP cars losing there title to rice burners do to a simple problem in the race

Re: lost my maro!!don't race stang

I'm trying to figure out what's more retarded...

The fact that you raced a 5.0 in with a LO3 for titles or the way you ATTEMPTED to type out the story.

Christ, my head hurts now after trying to read that.

my bro has a bolt on 5.0 and it rips. i would never think of running any 5.0 with my LO3. Especially for titles.

Re: lost my maro!!don't race stang

after making this post:
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/th...tml?highlight= (which gear to start off with/in?)

how the heck did you think you were ready to race for pinks??? This isn't TV, your car wasn't fast, and you didn't know how to drive it! I feel bad for you, but you really should've known better.

and please tell me it isn't your cousin with a 5.0 that you referred to in this thread-

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/te...tml?highlight= (can i still beat my cousin?)

that took your car from you!! That would just be evil. Or since you said your cousins is a 90 5.0, maybe him being a terrible driver with a beat car made you think you could take on any 5.0 you ran across. Either way, very sad.

What exactly do you have into your car that you can beat a Z06 and a Lambo? Really would love to know... unless its a freakin drag car...

You could at least be a GOOD liar. Geeze. You said you beat a bolt on C6 Z06 by 5 lengths. The record for a bone stock showroom (even stock tires) C6 Z06 is 10.97 in the quarter. A bolt on car should be capable of mid to low 10s easily in that case if the builder and driver know what they're doing. To beat him by 5 lengths either a) the guy can't drive or b) your car would already be running low 10s or more likely 9s with probably 800+ HP.

like i said, you could at least be a good liar
