Well ****. Lets hope for the best bro. You should be fine... And your witness was jailed too? What type of BS is that. I would SUE the police department for all this if you are found innocent.

Re: ?? How to recover a siezed car? MINE!

wow this got out of hand! sounds like a lot of political bullcrap to me. How can they press charges, keep a car impounded, ect with absolutely no evidence? thats total bull, i really hope this works out for you, sounds like a real nightmare situation.

I give you a lot credit for standing up for yourself.

You have a good lawyer i assume?

keep up updated, i was wondering the other day about what ever became of this.

If they don't have pics or video, it's hearsay. If you are not allowed into the room to face your accuser, that is illigal. you have every right to see and hear the "evidence" against you. Up here they are trying to get your car, max 10,000$ fine, and a suspension of your licence. It's being fought on the federal level right now, as you are being convicted of something without due process. I'd fight it to the supreme court as no trial, no arrest, seisure of assets? read what I just wrote, then talk to your lawyer again. Good luck bud's.

It's un-constitutional, as you have been punished before being convicted of a crime. Innocent until proven guilty. You can't have a cop acting as; Judge, jury, and exicutioner.

Re: ?? How to recover a siezed car? MINE!

I have been waiting for updates for awhile on this.....needless to say i do not street race, just too much **** can happen, however since its an internet board i cant really say if i believe you or not(its pretty easy to lie when your typing) but i can say that i would fight this, if i was on a jury and they had no evidence, regardless of the case i would not punish someone. If they can prove you were there thats a different story but i truly believe that a group of your peers, would not find you guilty when there is no evidence so fight it, especially if your loosing your car. best of luck, keep us posted and be sure to take some pics of you pickin your car up at the popo lot, big smiles and all and post em up for us to see, then take her right to the track and bake some tires off.

No offense, but really?

Just playing devils advocate here. I mean no dissrespect but your story has loop holes, intent to manipulate the system, and a clear missunderstanding of the legal process. I find it hard to side with someone who admits that they were not paying attention to something as serious as this. Your future arguments hold little weight at that point.

Organized street racing is dangerous and kills people. Take it to the track where they have barrier walls, level prepped surface, times slips, and an emergency crew to scrape you off the pavement should anything go wrong. Does your lawyer know you are posting on here with details that could compromise your case? I wish you the best and hope you get your car back, but please let this be lesson. Next time you might kill someone.
