Today i got pulled over by a cop for the first time today (i got pulled before for a tail light in my friends car once but w/e). I was playing around with my friend in his mercury tracer (he started it lol). We were at the light in front of our school and it was a wet day and his tracer is even slower than a normal tracer. So with my bald tires (and 2:73 gears lol) i decide to play with him bad. The light turns green and i spin(smoke and all) the whole way till i turned into the parking lot and still smoke him bad. Im trying to back into a space and i see an undercover cop behind me with his lights on. So i shut my car off and he gets out and says "that was pretty cool, try not to do it again." and he gets in his car and drives off no warning no nothing. So i was in a mix of adrenaline and laughter for a while. So whats the coolest or weirdest thing you've ever been told by a cop driving you're thirdgen?

One time going up to autozone, I bumped into a new guy working there that had an 87 IROC, we bullshit'ed for a little bit and on my way out I sort of felt obligated to leave a nice little cloud of smoke on my way out... so I back out, rev up and pop the clutch and leave a little bigger cloud than I meant to, now pulling up to the road to go home, a cop pulls next to me, stops and he got a big smile on his face and gave me the "nod" and then we both drove away. I think thats the luckiest I've ever gotten with the cops, besides the day a cop followed me home, haha.

i have a good one, about a year ago the cop tried to stop me on the freeway, then i had a 383 stroker motor 700r tranny inner cooler cold air intake super charger and nos so they clocked me at 182mph still accelerating and i only stopped cuz i rain out of straight away room but i never new they were after me.i no icoulda hit a good 240 b4 my carb would lock up but they were pissed because in upland cali the police dep all drive charger r/t and srt8 which do 160 with ease but they stood no chance at catching me,so they take my motor fined me 2500 and make me get a 305 then i see the same cop who still has my 383 in his 73 nova (he lives down the street) and twice in his nova and cop car going thru a yellow light and at the pomona fair way race track i still smoked him wih a stock 305 and 350 turbo tranny.now my car is subject for random saftey checks win ever an officer wants to check my car to make sure there is nothing none street legal on the engine.so now i get pulled ove almost every day.

Wow dude.....
Learn some capitalization...some punctuation & learn how to spell. Just TRYING to read your "post" gave me a headache...
So i shut my car off and he gets out and says "that was pretty cool, try not to do it again." and he gets in his car and drives off no warning no nothing.
That was your warning.
I don't have too many "lucky" stories, mostly because I live in a very small town and have owned my car for over 10 years. It's pretty well known to the local cops, and I don't give them many reasons to give me any grief. There are a couple cops that even have cars they bring out to the race spots we have out in the flats. I do have one really good "you'll never believe it" story though. About 2 am one rainy night I was restless and couldn't sleep so I went for a drive in the '89 RS I owned at the time (stock with a KNN filter, MSD ignition parts, and Flowmaster exhaust). I pulled out of the parking lot of my appartment complex onto my towns main street and was greeted by nothing less that a Sheriff's cruiser doing broadies in the middle of the 6 lane wide road! Once I realized the the deputy driving was one of the racing regulars (he owns a pretty hot '90 Mustang GT) I spun a few of my own before we pulled up window to window, had a quick chat and laugh, then drove off our seperate ways.
I was on my way to the track and realized I forgot my timing light. I hauled *** trying to get home to make up for lost time. I was going around 90 in the right lane and I saw a cop who had just finished giving someone a ticket on the other side of the highway. When he saw me he pulled a U turn at the break in the median and booked it when he could cut into traffic. I stayed on it and got off my exit. As I was crossing back over the highway on the overpass, I saw him getting off the exit with his lights on. I got on it real hard again "not realizing he was after me" and pulled into a neighborhood on my right and shut down for 15 minutes. My buddy saw it all happen, I told him I would hang out in the neighborhood and he could grab the timing light. Not so much lucky as stupid.
I been there quite a few times with buddies of mine that have some pretty close encounters, but I mainly learn from experience of my dad telling me about his past when he was hotrodding at the time and constantly tells me to be carefully when I'm out and about.
Like fryer1979 said, I tried not to give them any reason to bother me but its hard to be on guard every split second.
So far I haven't had any encounters in the GT but with exception of a few cops following me late at night on a few occasions
In the Z28, especially on Fri & Sat nights when my buddies and I were at a car meet, often whenever a group of cars would leave the meet they would often get followed by the one or two cops and so on, so we would already plan out where we going, and at times leave in separate groups and go different routes since there several exits to go back to our main area.
You take chances at times and get lucky and sometimes you don't, just hope most of yall got out of it alright.

I was with a friend one night and ripped it on the on-ramp going ito the highway.
A couple miles in an unmarked cruiser comes up behing me, flashes his lights and pulls me over.
I look into the rear view and notice an older cop come zig-zagging and stumbling up to my car.
He looks in at me and my buddy and then proceeds to ask us what we do for a living. So we get into it for a couple minutes. He takes my registration, ownership, and drivers licence and stumbles back to his car.
He stumbles back 5 minutes later, returns all my documents, and says, "Okay boys, have a nice night".
And stumbles back to his car. Me and my friend look at each other strangley.
Now that's strange. Suspect alchohol? Wouldn't be the first time in history, but still very strange. I think I would have parked for the night after that.

There's this big on-ramp, a hill covered by trees that cops like to hide behind. One day I was bored trying to see how fast I could get home. Stupid me forgot about the spot, so I go ROCKING by, (about 90 according to the officer)
Lucky thing was, my exit is right after the cop spot, so I'm going along, and I was still accelerating. I hit about 110 as i get to my exit, jump off, go home, yay me.
Next day i'm going home, but only going 75 this time. Go by the spot again, (Stupid me forgot about it again) And sure enough he was there waiting for me. Unfortunatly I didn't have the speed to get away this time, so he catches me RIGHT as i'm getting on the exit.
We talk, tells me he saw me yesterday, and how he saw me doing 90. Says well i'm gonna forget about yesterdays incidint, and i'm also gonna only write you up for doing 74 (2 points on license as opposed to 4 @75)
So yeah, pretty cool. Got a nice break. I think he liked my car
Well, its not a third but funny. I had a 71 Camaro I did a engine swap in. Put in a 400 engine and was fixing it up. Had straight pipes and 50's on the back. I was stationed in Blytheville Arkansas and me and my buddys were racing up and down the street, no tags, inspection nothing. The cop came by and told me he should give me a ticket for speeding. I asked him how he could write a ticket if he didnt know how fast I was going. I still remember his statement, "Well your right, I guess I will just have to drag you behind this trailer and kick your ***". Coolist cop I ever met.
This isn't with my trans-am, but with my recently purchased winter car. Still a good story to tell!
Up here in chicago we have harsh winters and more salt than you can imagine, so I don't drive my trans-am in the winter. Because of this, I went out and purchased a 98 jeep cherokee for 250 bucks. Didn't run when I bought it, but I figured out what was wrong before I did buy it, so you can imagine I gobbled that offer up. Well, when I bought it, I didn't have the money to transfer the title and throw new plates on it, so I just snatched the plates off my trans-am and prayed that the cops didn't mind my tail light. The left rear tail light is hanging on by wires, and I don't have the money to do any more than put gas in it, after making it mechanically sound.
Fast forward two months (this was about two months ago).
My friend and I went to steak & shake in a nearby town (~15mi away), and on our way back, a cop decides he doesn't like my tail lights (The left one is still hanging, with broken light, and recently the right one went out completely). I roll down the window, and the cop asks for my license and insurance card. I hand him my license but then say "Well officer, I don't have insurance on this vehicle, I recently purchased it and am working on that". He said, "alright, well can I just see a copy of your registration?" To this I responded "Well... It's not exactly registered in my name... my father was going to do that today, but forgot to". So he said, "alright, just hand me a copy of the title or the bill of sale" I unfortunately returned with "Actually... I don't have either of those, the title is at my house, as is the bill of sale". He goes on about "Well are you sure you should be driving this vehicle then?" etc. He talks to my friend, and asks both of our ages. Fortunately we're both 18 so we're not breaking curfew. He takes the vin number down and heads back to his car.
During this time, I had a little bit of cash in my pocket, so I give my friend about $300 since I figured that's what bail would be for stealing a car...
The officer comes back up to the window and asks me to step out of the car. He brings me around the back, and points at the tail light, about to fall off saying "What the hell is that!? You see that? I noticed your lights, and when I ran the plates, they came up to an 89 trans-am. This doesn't look like an 89 trans-am to me." He does the routine thing and asks if I have anything that's going to stab, stick or poke him, then searches me. I don't have anything on me fortunately. Then, he asks my friend to get out of the car...
He checks our stories real quick (I could overhear), and then goes through the same routine. He asks my friend if he has anything in his pockets, and my friend reached down to his left pocket to grab a stick of chapstick, and the cop quickly pulls his hand out and says "I dont' need to see the chapstick!" My friend tells him there is a knife in his right pocket. For a little background information, my friend works at party city, and steals costumes from there on occasion. The officer opens up my friends lower pocket and pulls out a bandit type mask. He then says "What the hell are you guys doin? Robin' places?" To which I reply "No officer, we're merely distracting you while our friends do the robing". He gets a chuckle out of this (thank god). He searches through the vehicle, etc.
After he's done, he brings us both to the back of the vehicle. He tells us that it's illegal to put the wrong plates on a car, and illegal to drive without insurace. He says he could take the plates, he could impound he vehicle, he could arrest us, etc. Instead, he says "get the paperwork done, and fix those lights. If I see this jeep again with the wrong plates, I'm not going to be so lenient" and he lets us go.
I had just put my new motor and heads in, did some tuning and decided to take it out for a spin...literally.
a buddy of mine is with me in the car, and I take it up to the local Safeway with a big parking lot. One side of the lot faces a busy street. I do a few cookies and burnouts, while he films it. Mind you, I haven't put any exhaust back on, just open headers.
I get my fill, he jumps back in the car and go to pull out of the parking lot, and no more than 30 seconds on the road, and a cop lights me up. he walks up to the car asks for my licence/registration/insurance, which I provide to him, and says "I saw what you were doing back there in the parking lot. Not really the type of thing you should be doing in plain sight, especally when someone can hear your car from 1/2 a mile a way." I respond politely "yes sir". He hands me back my licence and paperwork, and says "drive safely, and don't let me catch you back there doing that again".
I have only gotten lucky once. I was going down a residential to my house and slide through a four way stop and stayed on it for a while. Well, I was slowing down to pull into my driveway and a cop flashed me. I pull over right in front of my house and asks for my registration and insurance. So I hand it to him and he gives me a huge lecture and asks how my dad would feel if he knew I got pulled over. So I pointed at my house right there and said, "I'm pretty sure he knows now." He ends it all with a "Your car sure sounded good though," gave me a nod and left.
I had just drove my camaro down from NH to tampa and went to party with some friends in temple terrace. About 15 mins drive on the highway from tampa. Anyways my friend was my sober driver for the night and we were driving home at about 7am the next morning. We pull off the highway with our friends following us and we hit a light. Now i needed new tires on my car so my friend asks if he can smoke em. I tell him yes go for it, and i say go big or go home. Now were sitting at this light on the bottom of an of ramp and man hes really smoking them. Smoke is everywhere. A few seconds later i look out my window, and see a crown vic with this cop yelling for us to pull over. Now im really drunk in the pass seat, my registration had an error on it(they misspelled my name) and my new one had not arrive in the mail yet. The cop threatens to impound my car, arrest my friend etc etc, then he just stops like mid sentence and goes, guys im kidding, go on home i saw that cloud of smoke like a mile away and thoght it was a fire. Im so glad it was just you two havin fun. Imagin my feeling of relief still drunk at 7am after getting drilled by the cop.
pulling out of walmart with my friends in the car behind me, I pull out (right on red and caught a little tire) and apparently cut a car off (it didnt have its lights on so I couldn't see it) so anyways he starts ridin me so I floored it and it kicked out a little sideways due to the wet roads.. my phone then buzzes, its my friends telling me that was a cop behind me. Im thinking **** as a quickly turn into wendys parking lot to regroup with my friends and of course get this cop off my ***. I get out and am talking to them.. soon enough a cop with its lights on pulls in, pulls up right behind my car, stares for 30 or so seconds, cracks a smile and a laugh and waves goodbye.
I'm pretty sure it was the same cop that came to my house when I was riding my dirt bike (and it was "too loud" for my neighbor). he kinda laughed at her since I was on my own property.. cool guy.

Not in a camaro but my friends were driving to greenville doing about 130 in his 94' 525i bmw. He slows down and is doing about 90 when he sees a cop do a u-turn for the other side of the highway and step on it (with his lights off). So my friend steps on it again because he has a pretty big speed advantage he slows down turns down a street pulls into somes car port and waits for 15 minutes.
I got pulled over just 5 minutes after I purchased my '86.
Everything was fine with the car, but I did run a stop sign. It was bloody dark, didn't see it. Then I saw a crown vic light up and go after me from that side street I just passed.
I was pretty scared as the car had no license plates (just the paper behind the back glass), I had a foreign driver's license, and the insurance was only taken care of minutes earlier, by phone.
Well, I explained how i didn't see that sign primarily because being European I had no idea about those ridiculous, logic-defying 4-way stop signs. Where I come from stop signs are used on the minor street only, and only on rare occasions when the intersection is deemed dangerous. Otherwise it's a priority thing - the major street has priority and doesn't have to do those ridiculous stops, while the guys on the minor of the two streets stop and wait for a safe gap.
Back there nobody puts 4-way stop signs on every stupid intersection... like that of a 4-lane major boulevard and a side street that's little more than someone's driveway I don't know about the States, but here in Montreal you have to stop every 50 meters or so, it's ridiculous. And don't even get me started on those traffic lights on the wrong side of the intersection... made me run a red two or three times at the beginning. I've had my original license for 11 years as of that day (i still have it beside my Quebec license, of course, it's issued for life and doesn't expire), so all those habits were hard to get rid of.
Anyway... I vented all of the above at the cop. He laughed and said he understands my pain He then took whatever papers i dug up back to his car, came back some time later saying everything's a-ok but I should read up a bit about local traffic signs and rules.
Some two months later I passed the tests for a Quebec license with flying colors (can't use a foreign one here for longer than three months).
The other time I was pulled over it was 4 of us, in the Camaro (still completely unrestored), in the middle of a nasty blizzard, in a big hurry to make it to a funeral in Quebec city. They were just really suspicious of a nutcase who would drive that thing in the middle of the worst winter in years.
The license plate was on but some knob somewhere at some office made a typo somewhere and apparently they had a hard time looking it up. I had to retrieve the temporary paper thingy that used to be on the rear glass. My passengers found it under a floor mat, completely soaked. So that's how i handed it to the cop... "here, try this then... SQUISH". So I guess they figured what the error was and cleared it up, as then they just wished us a safe journey and let us go.
One night back around '96 or '97 I was driving my '87 Camaro. It was about 1:30am on a Saturday night and I was just leaving my gf's house. She lived about 3 or 4 miles away and as soon as I got on the main drag I looked in the rearview mirror and I saw that a cop was behind me. I wasn't speeding or anything, didn't run any lights or stop signs, but he followed me all through town. As I got closer to home I was on a street where cars park on the side of the road, so I had to drift left a bit in order to go around them. Meanwhile the cop is still on my tail. I had about another mile before I was home. Finally I got to the last stop sign before my house and he hits his flashers. I pull over and he gets out and asks for my license and registration.
Cop: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Me: Nope.
Cop: Well, on such and such street you went left of center.
Me: I had to, there were cars parked on the side of the street.
Cop: Where are you going?
Me: Home.
Cop: Where do you live?
Me: Right over there. (I point to the house.)
Cop: Where were you?
Me: My gf's house.
Cop: Have you been drinking?
Me: Nope.
Cop: Then why did you go left of center on such and such street?
Me (starting to get a little mad): Because there were cars parked on the side of the street!!
Cop: ok, calm down. You didn't have to get over that far. By doing that you made me think that you were drunk.
Me: Well, you probably would have throught I was a whole lot drunker if I had hit the cars, wouldn't you?
Cop: Well, I guess so. Just be more carefull next time.
He gave me back my license and followed me the 50 feet to my house and sit there and watched me open the garage door and pull in. I'm surprised he didn't ticket me for getting a little irate, and looking back I see he was just doing his job, but at the time all I could think was here's this cop giving me a hard time because I'm young and I'm driving a sporty car.
I remember once I was going to Columbia to meet up with some friends. I was on the interstate and the interstate is a breeding ground for tickets distributed by the State Troopers (which for the most part are known to be complete a$$h0les), I knew this so I tried to keep my speeding under 10 above the limit (70 was the limit). I was casually following a car trying to keep at speed just to go with the "traffic". I had a few friends with me so we were just talking and joking around and I didn't notice my speed climbing up to 89mph. Just as I looked down at my speedometer, I see a Silverbullet on the side of the freeway...and sure enough he comes after me. So I pull over and he's a younger guy like us (mid 20s) and asks if I knew why he pulled me over... I respond, "Officer, I hope you're going to tell me that the state senate just passed a law saying dirty cars are illegal in South Carolina... but if not, it was probably speeding..." he just starts laughing and we joke around a bit with me and my friends and he says "I'll try to help you out, I'll see what I can do"... and he comes back with a warning... I thought it was pretty lucky to get out of a 19mph over the limit ticket...

I live in a town with a pop. of about 3,000, this was about a year after I graduated high school... Was driving my RS (L03 auto...phfftt), had just run into a few of my buddies at the bar. We have a town square, where the highway splits and goes around the courthouse. The bar, of course, is on the square, so, as I leave, I decide to give my buddies a show by brake-torquing into a burnout, then drifting around half of the square. Much to my chagrin, I forgot that the police station was on the other side. I made it about 4 blocks before I saw the flashing lights... I pulled over, already resigned to receiving a reckless driving ticket, when, none other than my best friend Daniel walks up to me in Uniform. Apparently he had got a new job. It was his first shift.

Hey guys. I'm 19 years old and I've been pulled over four times and gotten a ticket 3 of them (49 in a 35 at 16 yrs old, 82 in a 65 at 18 yrs old, and 89 in a 70 just two weeks ago). This is the story of that one lucky one which i should've gotten the ticket for. I was going to meet my girlfriend for dinner in the new square in my home town. Well I've been flying to get there swerving in and out of cars and i guess it just got my adrenaline going cause there are a series of stop signs in a straight line and when i stopped at the first one I decided that i was going to see how much rubber i could lay between before i got to the second one about 100 yds away. So i lay on it and just smoke the **** out of them when i see a black truck stopped in the other lane in front of me. Well about ten seconds after I started spinning I see a guy in a bright neon suit step out from behind the truck. Apparently they have bike cops in this place and one had pulled that truck over and was behind the truck writing the ticket. He steps out in front of me as i get closer to the truck (now doing the 15 mph speed limit acting like nothing happen) I rolled down my window and he said and I quote "Slow the hell down next time, just get the **** out of here before another officer shows up." Not sure why I didn't get a ticket.
This happened back in 98 in my buddy's 89RS. He had the 2.8/5pseed in it, bone stock.
We had gone out with a bunch of friends since we were all back home from college for spring break and were headed home for the night. It was late and as we got on the highway we saw the only other car within 3 miles was our friends behind us in an old beat-up Subaru. My buddy had just gotten the Camaro in October of the year before and wasn't allowed to take it to school with him(schools rules, not his parent's) so he didn't get to drive it much. He decides since there was no one around us to see how fast it would go. The speedometer only went to 125 in that car, and we had the needle past that when he decided to back off it. The rear was bouncing all over the place since he still had the winter studded tires on it. As we started up the next hill at 75, we saw a car coming up on us fast and figured it was our friends finally catching up to us. As soon as it got behind us the lights came on. My buddy pulls over and digs out the paperwork as the cop comes up to the window. The first words out of the cop's mouth are "If you hadn't slowed down, I never would have caught you." After my buddy hands over the paperwork, he asks me if I can drive a stick, figuring he'll lose his license on the spot(PA used to take it on the spot if you were caught doubling the speed limit, not sure if they still do or not). When the cop comes back up to the window he says he only clocked us at 105 so that was all he wrote the ticket for, even though he had to pull 133 to keep up with us till we slowed down. My buddy was pissed at the $167 fine, but it was much better than losing his license.
This was not in my third gen but one time me and my friend were driving around in his second gen and we got pulled over for doing under the speed limit. He pulled my friend out of the car and asked for my driver's license. He talked to him for a while and then gave our I.D.'s back and said have a nice night. When he was heading back to his car my friend asked him why we got pulled over and the cop said the license plate was not working. After we figured out the light worked fine my friends dad went up there and said he wanted to see the proof. After arguing with the one of the officers they found no proof and the cop got demoted. He was suspicous of us hiding something I guess.
the day i bought my camaro i was driving around with some friends and of course we get pulled over(town with less than 10,000 people and a VERY bored pd) for loud exhaust...appearantly the cops get to decide what's loud and what's not, anyway i bought the car in minnesotta and drove it home in wisconsin and i didnt realize it had expired minnesotta plates. the dashboard vin tag is rusted and the door tag is painted over. i left the title at home because im not going to drive around with it in the car for obvious reasons. oh and the cop makes up some bs on how you cant have t-tops tinted? so besides our expired plates, no vin, head light out, brake light out, loud exhaust, and "illegal tint" oh and view obstruction from fuzzy dice on the mirror...i got nothing. not even a written warning, i then got pulled over 6 out of the next 7 days and am now on a first name basis with our pd haha

wisconsins not bad i love it here(winter not so much) but if you live in certain areas the cops are retarded and will pull you over for ANYTHING like going 29 in a 25, that happened last week
One night on a cruise I seen my friend with his 2005 WRX(heavily modded) and me in my 1992 3.1(stock) firebird so I was like why the hell not, its a long way back home. So 50mph rolling start I get an inch on him then he just kills me. It was so bad he have to call me to find out where I was. So about 1/2 in the race he's going 147 already and I’m just hitting 105, at this time we're still on the phone and out of no where I see a black car pull on the highway and throw on the lights. I yell to my friend to hit the lights and run, I got off the highway asap, but as for my friend he ran for it and got a way but some how the cops got his plates and was waiting for him at home. Nothing worst then your parents calling you saying the police are here waiting for you, needless to say he was arrested and his car towed but only get this he got two ticket, one night in jail reckless driving, speeding 90 in a 65 and got his car back 2 days later WTF now that’s lucky.
well it wasnt in my camaro. It was in my 68 dodge charger. I was in Modesto, CA. cruising down mchenry. pulling an american graffitti cruise shift. bunch of honda ricers revving up at me and gassing it and then letting off. So finally i say screw it and bang down speed limit was 35 and thats about where i was. banged down took it up to 80-85. let go. see a cop getting over into my lane doesnt even have th elights on yet. i start pulling over. pulls me over takes my license comes back hands it to me says something came up happy late bday (week after my bday) and then says dont pull that **** again and lets me go! avoided a wreckless and exhibition. wow. lucky me.
1st time pulled over 67 in 45 (ticketed)
2nd time pulled over 77 in 60 (ticketed) and cop was being a D*** and also ticketed me for window tint being too dark
3rd time pulled over driving through a YELLOW light in florida (Ticketed) IDIOT COP
4th ticket 60 in a 45 (ticketed)
then everyone wonders why when a cop gets behind me i flip a left a right another left another right and speed away, PARANOID YES VERY!
My insurance per month 230 a month for a 2000 honda civic full coverage and a 1991 camaro rs liability only ( Allstate "your being ripped off Oops sorry i mean good hands)
first story:
i had just got my 89 iroc a couple weeks before and low and behold fast and the furious tokyo drift was out! Of course my friends and i just had to go see it. After the lame movie my friends were all like "lets see if the camaro can drift". after i said no like 10xs they finally pulled out the ****** i'll bet you can't do it* comments. I of course could no longer stand it, after all my car needed rear tires and i had a newly aquired posi that just needed further testing
so i go to a 100% vacant parking lot at the back of my mall, smoke the tires do some burnouts and doughnuts, even a couple of lame drifts. as i'm leaving i'm doing my best to drift out into the outer belt of the mall parking lot. as i'm smoking my tires and had about as much angle as i could possibly correct for, some psycho who had his car completely parked and no lights on flew out in front of me where i almost had no choice to collide with him.
luckily i didn't hit him. Oddly enough it was a mall security guard who was just furious i had the nerve to do doughnuts in his parking lot at 1:30am mind you...... All the time i knew i couldn't get in massive trouble since it was private property and cops had no jurisdiction.
it finally started to get funny when the security kept bitching and griping and the cops kept making cracks at the security guard......... I almost thought i was dreaming, the guys were hysterical, the 1 cop looked over at me and was like *your foot just slipped off the clutch didn't it* i laughing at this point replied and said yes *after my foot slipped off it caused my floor matt to lodge in to my gas pedal making my tires smoke even harder i didn't know what to do*.
everybody at this point was laughing ,but the security guard that is. finally fifteen minutes later or so i find out i'm formally banned from the mall for the next 6 months (of course i went back to sears in the mall the next day).
2nd story i'll say at a different time it wasn't as much fun
i have a good one, about a year ago the cop tried to stop me on the freeway, then i had a 383 stroker motor 700r tranny inner cooler cold air intake super charger and nos so they clocked me at 182mph still accelerating and i only stopped cuz i rain out of straight away room but i never new they were after me.i no icoulda hit a good 240 b4 my carb would lock up but they were pissed because in upland cali the police dep all drive charger r/t and srt8 which do 160 with ease but they stood no chance at catching me,so they take my motor fined me 2500 and make me get a 305 then i see the same cop who still has my 383 in his 73 nova (he lives down the street) and twice in his nova and cop car going thru a yellow light and at the pomona fair way race track i still smoked him wih a stock 305 and 350 turbo tranny.now my car is subject for random saftey checks win ever an officer wants to check my car to make sure there is nothing none street legal on the engine.so now i get pulled ove almost every day.
well i got a couple some in a f-body some not lol so here goes.
about two years ago around midnight in january i was in my 98 camaro and a girl i knew kept messing with me with her celica she had well we ran once and i smoked her bad. well we got up to the next light and she wanted to go again but i didnt when the light turned she nailed it so i sat and waited till she got across the intersection then i punched it and pulled her hard well right when was pulling past her she nailed her brakes and i thought wtf then i looked ahead and a cop in a charger off to our right. i slowed down and cruised on by with her next to me and i heard him start the car and he pulled out behind me and spot lighted her. he clocked us well me at about 83 in a 45 and "racing" he asked if we were racing from the light i said no...i told him we didnt get on it till after the light but he was cool and since the girl and i were friends and no one was around when it happend he only gave me a ticket for a 60 in a 45 but i went to driving school and got it dropped. she didnt get so lucky though but she didnt get what she could have gotten.
another i was in my yukon with a friend in town well we left the mall and the light started changing that went across the main road well i was doing the speed limit right when it started changing but then i nailed it and ended up going like 60 through the intersection(40 zone) and through a red light (whoops) anyway i didnt see him but there was a state trooper at the other side of the intersection and i actually passed him when i did this and my friend saw and said "dude your getting a ticket" sure enough he came up to the cruise spot and pulled me over and took my info and asked why i flew through that intersection i just told him i couldnt stop 6000lbs on a dime. he came back and looked kinda pissed then just said becareful and slow down and i was good to go. my friend was like what the hell how do you do that? then we realized when the trooper first came to the window he didnt have his hat on so he was out of uniform so he couldnt legaly give me a ticket.
was out cruising in the 82 one night right after i got it on the road and both rear tires were bald rubber up the rear quarters exhaust leak cracked windshield and 6yr old inspection and county sticker. well i got pulled over i know it wasnt speeding but i didnt know how fast i was actually going since the speedo was way off. well he asked for my liscens then said he could smell fuel bad i told him im still in the tuning stage that i just put the motor in. well he said he pulled me over and my plate light wasnt working and that he was giving me a warning to get it fixed. then asked what i had in the car that it sounded damn good when i passed him. anyway shooken up a bit i got home and looked and all my marker lights and plate light worked no short either so maybe he really wanted to know what it had...

His lack of a hat had zero to do with it. Your
If he lost sight of you & had to find you later, the most he could do is identify the truck. He couldn't write a ticket, as he had no way to identify who the driver was. All you woulda had to do is go to court, fight it as "I wasn't driving."
If an officer loses sight of the car, he can no longer be certain who was driving, therefore he cannot write a ticket to a person.
Simple as that. You didn't get one, because he woulda lost in court.
got pulled over playin autocross on a country road 77 in a 25 he searched the car and told me to take it to the track next time... he asked if i had been drinkin i told him na im 17 and said have a good day shook his hand and left ... and he rememberd me cause me and my buddy did almost the same in his 5.0 same cop same road
i was driving my stock 305 5 spd formula. it was raining and about midnight i pulled out of the local wal mart and got completely sideways across like three other lanes i look in my rearview and i see a city cop he follows me for about four blocks and just turns off
Got pulled over once in a parking lot for doing a burn-out in a 71 2wd Suburban. Trying to show off for a girl in a 72 Nova. I see the lights pull into a parking spot. lean over to get registration. Hear a tap on the window. The cops had me blocked in front and rear! I roll down the window, the cop says "Do you know thats wreckless driving on private property?" I said "No sir" he walks away................... When he comes back he says "Are you So-and-so's little brother?" I imediatly think this is the same cop who pulled my brother in a 69 El Camino doind 99 in a 55. "Awwww Hell!!" I think. Then the cop say "Well, I went to school with your brother and I remember some of the stupid things we used to do, Dont let me catch you again!" " Yes SIR! I said.........I havent seen HIM since...........
