first kill

Hello everyone im still relatively new to this forum, but i happend to get my first kill alittle while back in my first road worthish bird(i tend to get them up and running and sell them)

anyways my buddy was leaving for basic in a week or two and so i basically dropped all my stuff to kinda hang out and work on a project i just bought(he wanted to start getting into cars) though im no master mechanic, we get it running decently and i drive it between my apartment and his house. while figuring out one day that my carbs are leaking and flooding and just performing in a rather shitty manner i figure ill replace that later as i can drive it the way it is. for the record its a stock 1984 15th anniversary TA, with original 305 but a new 700r4. well on my way back late i pull up to a deserted interesection, and here that awful mexican rap or polka or well im unsure what to call it but i look over and its a honda with the fart can, spoiler that weighs down the back noticeably, has like those walmart air hole stick on deals and some really awful rims and stickers. he revvs it a couple times and i look over, shrug my shoulder and nod, i figure i havent really put this baby under any real pressure why not see how she does. light turns green i put the pedal to the ground and she roars, tires peeling like crazy and leaving a huge cload of smoke. i expected some degree of power but i was awe struck. when i get to the next light he is still probably 50 feet behind me, he pulls up real slow and i look over, revv the engine and he keeps his head straight, light turns green and i give him the smoke/bird again. had to be one of the best feelings i had had in a long time.

anyways its really neat to see a forum where if i mention that i drive sometimes in a rather unsafe manner im not threatened to be banned. i mean if we were supposed to never drive over 60 why do some many people have 400+ horsepower cars? anyways ive definently typed enough.

thanks
-alex
