roll racing in the RS

so just gotten my exhaust finally finished...so on the way home that night after getting it hooked up,i ran into a mid 90s GT with exhaust(idk if there was anything else). so we start at bout 45-50mph and i hold a fender on him all way up to 90mph then i start pulling very slowly on him...so guess i maybe had a half car or so on him by the time i shut it down round 110.

then today me and my buddy got little run in on the way to a meet,he has a 98 GSR I/E and type R cams. so we start out round 60mph and we stayed dead even till i hit the limiter then he went flying forward..lol....i was surpised i kept up that good with him, that car runs very good on the hwy...id like to set up a dig or a slower roll with him,to get little more of a upper hand.

but all and all not to bad for a L03 to me.

nice job on the runs.

do u know if the stang was a stick/auto. im sure some ppl will chime in and say it had to be an auto if ur lo3 was keeping up with it. either way, way to go in representing the lo3

Re: roll racing in the RS

the GSR is runs 15.0s at the track...maybe even a 14.9,so i felt very good that i could hang with him on topend, cause i know i can take em on low end....maybe i can get into the 14s.

also i was wondering how fast are 99-04 vert GTs....would i stand a chance against one?

Re: roll racing in the RS

well instead of making a new thread, ill add to this one....had another roll race 2night

so im heading torwards my house, and the light im heading torwrads turns green and at the light in the lane over is a 70s Z28,as i go by noticed it sounded like little cam and exhaust.

so i got by,and i think hmm..i wonder if he will run,so i slow down to bout 45 and wait for him to get beside me,and ofcourse he does...so we are next to each other for a min,and then i buck at him and he starts to move...so i gunned it and so did he....so we start at bout 45 then i start pulling and pulling...i let off at 100 cause i had to turn onto another street,i had pulled good 2-3 cars on him...as i slowed down so did he..i think he wanted another run,lol....but i just headed home.

Yea idk about that one i'm gonna have to call a. 70's camaros up to a certain year made TONS of power... (unless a smaller motor was put in or it was just built terribly) But even most of the small motors with terrible hp due to new emissions laws still had enough grunt to take out an L03. I used to have an L03 they aren't anything more than 9 sec 0-60 cars. mine would run alongside my L99 Caprice till about 80 when we would let off....

Just defeat the speed limiter, don't tell your GSR buddy & ask for a rematch.

The RSX will beat you and the Z28 will eat you alive.... and think this way to make you feel better , an LT car is slower than an LS car. lol

put a troggle switch on ur vss wire and that will cut out your speed limiter and still be able to keep your check engine light off. nice kill
