2002 z28 vs. my 1989 iroc z28

Was on the highway got em next to me they floored it i floored it and passed them i kept trying to get em to do it again but they wouldn't they were probably embarrassed the only reason i even tried to race them was because they sped 10-15 mph over the speed limit all through town.

Re: 2002 z28 vs. my 1989 iroc z28

What are your mods? I have a 98 ws6 6 speed with exhaust and intake and it destroys my 89 l98 with full bolt ons. Especially on the highway. The tpi intake on the l98 just runs out of breath, while the ls1 keeps pulling, and pulling. If you have anything less than full bolt ons with a good head, and cam combo, I doubt the guy was racing. Most ls1's dyno 310-320 at the wheels bone stock. That is roughly 350-360 at the motor with a 12% loss. Its not really a fair comparison if you ask me because the l98 motor was not built to match the ls1's power in anyway. However if it was a legit race, awesome kill.

The ls1's were in the 98-02 f bodies. Only differences were the 98-00 had a slighter larger cam, and the 01-02 had the ls6 intake manifold. If you beat one you must have some good mods.
