Lancer then a Bike.....

I was cruising the strip and i spotted a White lancer sitting across the light from me, i'm turning right and he's turning left(2 lane road) the light turned green and i turned right as he came across into the lane next to me and we both proceeded to punch it around the same time... The 357's Cam hit the powerband that starts around 4k and i just walked away... No contest... Hit 2nd and the car was 3-4 lengths back... I slow down and he does the all to well known ***** flyby lol I procceded to follow this lancer and switched lanes and got back in front of him and a Bike started to follow me in the other lane, The Lancer turns off faster than i could look, I didn't even see a blinker, i looked back saw he was gone and saw the road i just passed and put 2 and 2 together....So this bike stops next to me and asks if its a 305 or 350 i tell him its a 357 and he's like "Nice man, i used to have a Monte with a 327" I tell him thats pretty sweet and he rides besides me for a little while and we finally hit another red light... Light turns green and i roll into first gear and punch it( he follows suite) He stays right beside me until the end of third gear and i slowly start pulling and i let off. He comes back up beside me and gives me a nod of approval. We drive side by side for awhile then i U-turn to go back into town and he keeps on going. Later on that night i drive out to the pier and he is parked on the pier just standing there so i stop and talk to him for about an hour and find out he's a pretty cool kid. He told me his bike is a Kawasaki 500 Ninja. Not the baddest bike out there but hey its a bike and i'm proud i kept up with it.

Re: Lancer then a Bike.....

Forgot to also add that after we ran the first time we ran again from about 50mph and by the time i hit 120 he was quite a ways back(like 20 lengths maybe). He told me he geared the bike to have low end and less top end and that's why i wasted him at higher speeds.

I looked up a lot of those bikes and saw they are capable of 13 sec 1/4.... That's what they are rated from the factory anyways...... And hence why above 50mph i dusted him... like you have no idea how bad i walked him when i punched it from 50 mph.... lol

Re: Lancer then a Bike.....

U know the 500cc two cylinder on the ninja is the same engine they put vulcan 500 ltd cruiser. it a two cylinder engine and a dog. maybe bc i was a little hefty but stock my bike never broke 13's hell even with the mods i barely broke 13's 13.98 to be exact. now i only tracked it one day with 4 runs so maybe with more practice i could have gone faster, but on the street it would be slower anyways. I even lost to a 98 camaro ss convertible a4 that a buddy has and that has only runs mid 13's at the track. that evo should be faster then that bike.

Well i smoked the EVO and the bike stayed by my side, and the 50mph+ run i smoked him... some info isn't right here then.... i think its capable of a 13 sec run.... stats say so...

Re: Lancer then a Bike.....

Well I'm not a pro rider and I was about 230 lbs when i had mine. But stats for bikes r often misleading, Just like car stats. Thats a 500 two cylinder, most of my buddies had 600 4 cylinders and they would dog walk silly! I imagine a pro rider thats about 50 lbs lighter then me could have had my bike in the mid to low 13's. I syill think that evo should have been a better match then that bike. Still it sounds like you have a hi 12 low 13 car. Looking to get my car in that area sometime soon with a vortec setup.
